our group Graduation Project : exterior outdoor design with glass and steel
1st step : designing and manufacturing the glass piece.
What has been considered designing the glass piece :
1- equal thickness for better cooling while production (press mold)
2- light weight by reducing thickness to 0.8 cm to be cost effective and easy to install
3- 1 cm extension to the glass piece so it can be installed on the frame
prototypes of the glass piece
2nd step : designing and prototyping the hexagonal frame
prototype with all CNC cutting without welding (very expensive)
all manual frame prototype (lacks accurate dimensions)
final prototype (successful)
last step : designing and installing the over-all outdoor design.
